The Story
Dance Alloy artistic director Elsa Limbach had traveled to Bulgaria and Greece, and returned with the idea of capturing the sights and sounds of her travels.
The difficulty in dancing this work was the complex rhythms involved in music of the Balkans! (In fact, the Turkish work balkan means a "chain of wooded mountains.") But the simple joys of dancing with friends made for a very satisfying experience.
