Come along with me to Tingambato for the annual Geranium Festival.

Tingambato is located about an hour's drive west of Morelia, and has hosted a Geranium Festival for the past 32 years. The region grows an amazing variety of geraniums, both in color and also in flower form.

These town festivals are so much fun...there's a lot of food, performances, music, a parade, and vendors selling much more than just flowers. I attended with my friends Wayne and Jan, who go every year, and now I'm hooked and will want to go again next year!

I didn't get to visit on this trip, but Tingambato also has an archeological site that I will explore on my next trip.
